In the context of the project Logistics of Knowledge workshop participants will explore the infrastructure and processes of knowledge production. The workshop will look at the players, attitudes, processes and consequences of the production and spread of knowledge as well as the role that design can, should and does play in this context. It is necessary to ask how knowledge is produced, who is involved, which forms of knowledge are generated, how this knowledge is spread and received and what effects and actions this process elicits in our everyday lives as a result. Equally important is the question who is NOT involved in the production of knowledge, how and why certain knowledge is not spread and what effects are not intended. The investigation revolves around the tensions between an examination of knowledge as a (non)circulating commodity and knowledge of infrastructures as a tool for creative practices.
